A radio tower used to stand on top of the building on the right hand side as seen in this photo. The advent of fiber optic transmission systems doomed the Digital Radio to extinction.

In the 1980s there was a sudden renewal of awareness of the new Madrid fault. This office got massive reinforcement inside with auxiliary framing wall to wall on all floors and 15 inches of concrete on its foundation. Joneboro is the largest town in Northeast Arkansas and is home to Arkansas State University.
